The AIRS XML Data Validator is freely-available to any users or vendors who want to easily check whether their data exports are compliant with the AIRS XML Standard for resource data interoperability.
To use the validator:
- Enter personal information.
- Select the software vender of the AIRS file. This can typically be found on the
fourth line of the AIRS file (Ex: SoftwareVender="SunCoast Programs"). This information will not be shared outside of AIRS and is used to track vendor software compliance with the AIRS standard.
- Click the “Browse” button to navigate to the location of your export file (Maximum file size is 500MB).
- Select the AIRS XML version you want to validate against. The current, approved version is 3.0.
- Click on “Validate the file” hyperlink.
After the validator processes your file against the AIRS XML (within a few seconds, usually), it will generate a report that details any compliance problems with the file.
Any data uploaded to the server will be discarded. More information about the AIRS XML Standard can be found at http://www.airs.org.
